Replacing the batteries should take five minutes. No special tools are needed. Let's get to it!
Please note that we don't take responsibility for using third-party batteries!
- If you have a wooden palm rest, you can remove it by lifting it along the edges. If necessary, use a prying tool and insert it between the palm rest and the metal plate beneath it.
- If you have a rubber palm rest, you can tear it up.
Beneath the palm rest, you should see the following cages, but only if you have a rubber palm rest. The cages are not included if you have a wooden palm rest, and the batteries are directly exposed.
Lift the cages to access the batteries:
Remove the old batteries, remove the protective tape from the new batteries, connect them, and insert them into their slots.
Finally, add back the cages (if available) and the palm rests.
