I&#039;m also thinking that this cutout pattern may also be beneficial regarding repairability. One could easily disassemble any switch and clean it. Great stuff!]]></description>

This looks very interesting, indeed! We weren&#039;t aware of this cutout pattern and it certainly looks interesting from a moddability standpoint. I&#039;m wondering whether this pattern weakens the connection between the switches and the plate given the reduced contact surface area. Let me consult with András about this. If we decide to use this cutout pattern then we will look into the Phantom licence, contact them and play by their rules.

Have you come across the Phantom plate? It has small cutouts around the switches so it&#039;s possible to change the spring and stem. In other words, the owner could change from MX blue to MX red without having to desolder.]]></description>
